Hotel Mar Rey - Tamarindo

Hotel Mar Rey provided a good stay with its amazing location just steps from the beach. My room was very spacious, with a comfortable bed, a fridge, and a microwave. The pool area was lovely and well-maintained.

Want to say thanks for perfectly pleasant stay. This hotel is simple and fairly clean with excellent location by local shops and top-class staff. Make sure you stay in the a double room with refrigerator and microwave. Glad to have Wi-Fi, coffee, and a great balcony😀🙂

The oversized fridge in our room was convenient for storing our leftover meals and drinks after a long day at the beach.

Unfortunately, the noise from local restaurants and nightlife was quite disruptive, especially during the evenings and on weekends.

The location is perfect for beach access and exploring nearby shops. Noise from the nightlife can be disruptive.

I appreciated to be here, everything was excellent. There were air conditioner, a safe, and a mini bar in my double room. Throughout the day staff were very amiable. The location close to the airport was unbeatable and exceptionally nice. Moreover, it's next to the center of Tamarindo, beach, restaurants, taxi, rental car, tour operators and shopping and restaurants...

The room was kept very clean and available with air conditioning.

Parking is a bit of a scramble-tight spaces and first come, first serve. While the noise from the street is minimal at night, occasional motorcycle roars in the morning can be jarring. The absence of bedside tables or shelves in the room was noticeable, and the coffee maker lacking coffee packets felt inconvenient.

The adjacent building made a bit of noise in the early evening. The cleanliness and friendly staff made up for it. Having a security guard on site gave us peace of mind, especially at night. A solid choice.

The room had great AC and comfy beds, but I struggled with street noise at night.

My group loved the beautifully landscaped pool area and the charm of the carved wood doors. the grill setup was a letdown since it wasn't well-maintained.

We loved the refreshing pool and exploring the local shops and restaurants, all within walking distance. The staff were supportive and accommodating, especially during our family outing to the beach. It was great spending quality time with the kids here!

My kids wished for more kid-friendly activities on-site.

Beautifully landscaped hotel with a cute vibe, perfect for relaxation. The pool was warm and inviting, while the nearby restaurants offered delicious options like freshly baked cookies. Noise from the street was a distraction at times, and I found the grill area to be somewhat neglected. The size of my room could have been better for the price.
